Outdoor activities at SarvesAlta Alpine Resort

SarvesAlta Alpine Resort is nestled in a beautiful setting overlooking the Alta Fjord and the valleys that surround the town. It’s a cozy and family-friendly winter park that’s great for everyone, whatever your age and fitness level.

Alpine skiing under the arctic lights
Ski and snowboard down the slopes under the arctic sky. It’s a small but varied ski area with slopes in all difficulties. If you want to challenge yourself we have lots of jumps and rails. When it’s time for a break, recharge with refreshments in our café or at Bjørnehiet on top.

Winter playtime
Take a toboggan down the hill, kickslade around on cosy winter roads or go snowshoeing in the Nordic pine forest. When it’s time for a break, recharge with refreshments and homemade food in our comfortable café.

Challenging winterfun
Fatbike down the alpine slopes under the arctic sky or ride around on cosy winter roads. Our lates challenge is snowshoes with ziplines. Hike around in the forest with snowshoes, end your walk with our Speedy zipline. When it’s time for a break, recharge with refreshments in our comfortable café.

Nature walk in the wilderness
Imagine a walk out in nature, enveloped by the silence of the arctic wilderness, free from the light of civilization, where your only company are the animals that call this wild land their home. It’s waiting for you just outside the city of Alta. We will collect you from the Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge and bring you to the edge of the nearby mountain plateau. From there, we will hike into the mountains and let the stillness embrace us. Maybe we will see some animals nearby, and if the sky is clear above there is a good chance we will see the mystical Northern Lights come out to dance over our heads. The walk ends back at SarvesAlta at Bjørnehiet, a small cafe overlooking the city of Alta in the distance, where you can sit inside – or outside by the fire – and enjoy hot drinks and something tasty while we enjoy the view of the fjord, the mountains and the city. After refreshments, we will sled down to the main lodge and finish the tour with a delicious fish soup.
